Wild edibles of Kowana Valley: Learn about mother nature’s uncultivated bounty growing here. On walks through the valley, you will be shown examples of the plant and its food and other uses, with discussions on preparation, time of year to use it, and other pertinent information.
A walk through time: A walk through this valley identifying the sites and signs of those who came before, from the Yosemite Miwoks, to the adventurers of the Gold Rush era, to the homesteaders, through to today. With an encouragement to ponder what we each wish to leave for the next, since we are all just passing through.
Sustainable forestry: A walk through the lands to learn about healthy and safe forests and how to acheive them, with examples of proper forest management as opposed to unmanaged land.
Living off the grid: A tour of and in depth explanation of off grid energy systems, including solar and mini hydro electric with an understanding of how to maintain your system and live within your energy means.
